About Us at Switch Gym

About Us at Switch Gym

We are a small friendly Gym right in the centre of Haywards Heath.
Our goal is to help educate you in the best ways to exercise enabling you to achieve the maximum amount of results in the minimum amount of time.

With all the equipment that you could need and a dedicated team of coaches, we are able to offer a safe and clean environment in which to complete your own personalised programmes.
You will be able to workout on your own, along side your dedicated personal trainer or join in our fun and friendly 30 minute small group training sessions which give you access to the best trainers for an intense workout at a fraction of the cost of personal training.

Switch Gym was the creation of Chris and Mark who after years of working in the private and council run facilities decided that people deserved a well maintained, clean, quality gym that would not cost the earth every month. This concept became a reality in 2012 when we opened the doors and allowed our first members in.
Since that day we have grown into the exceptional gym with all the equipment and support that you could need to complete your workouts.

If you have tried and failed to get the results that you dream of, or are looking to start on a new fitness journey, why not come in and speak to us and see how joining the Switch family can drive you to the fitness levels that you crave.

Bio:

I feel truly blessed to be able to work in an area I believe so passionately in.  I have worked within the industry since 2000 and have had the pleasure of working with many amazing clients and some great trainer including working very closely with GMTV’s Pete Cohen on his weight loss programme.  Working on this programme helped me to realise the powerful connection between mental and physical well being that is required to help people succeed in reaching their goals.

Life is and education and that is exactly what I aim to provide.  Not only will you receive great training programmes that will progress you along your journey, you will also be coached as to why these exercises have been prescribed, what they are going to achieve, how important nutrition is to helping you achieve your goals and how to construct a nutrition plan that will compliment your training.

Having worked with clients ranging from competitive Tri-Athletes, to people whose only wish is to be able to run more with their children and grand children, I recognise that not everyone enjoys the gym, so my sessions are always based on fun – enjoyment is a great motivator.  All programmes are designed with individual needs and requirements in mind and guaranteed results.

Why not come in and speak to me so that we can see what great results you can achieve on your fitness journey.

Bio:

I have been working in the fitness industry for over 25 years as a personal trainer and as a fitness manager in both the public and private sector.  During this time I have gained extensive knowledge, continuously learning and experimenting with different methods of training and dieting.

I have worked with a diverse range of clients adopting an old school approach using time tested methods to achieve results.  By incorporating modern training principles I add variety to my sessions and aim to make my sessions fun and enjoyable whilst ensuring they are always focused on the end result.  I believe in not only training and coaching individuals but also educating them in order for bad habits to be broken and healthier habits adopted to both achieve goals and maintain results.

Bio:

I qualified as a level 2 fitness instructor in 2013, shortly after falling in love with the industry, and began my career as Switch Gym, I qualified as a personal trainer here in 2014 and began personal training at the beginning of 2015.

My main aims in my personal training career are to support and educate my clients, and in doing so help them to increase their confidence in their own abilities.  I love pushing people to do things that they did not believe was possible, and enjoy the thrill of seeing you impress yourself with your own results-at the end of the day you are doing this for you.

I truly believe that as well as being hard work training should also be enjoyable, if you are not enjoying what you are doing, the chances of you staying focused is greatly reduced.  I keep up to date with all of the latest training techniques and see how I can adapt and incorporate them in to the training to ensure that you are maximising your training to gain the greatest results.

At Switch Gym we are a family, here to support and drive each other forward and Personal Training is no different,  I like to get to know my clients , their home life, work life and any other commitments that they may have, this enables me to provide programmes and sessions which will truly benefit you and work around any obstacles that you may have.  I like my clients to know that  I am approachable and here if they need anything, I believe personal training should go beyond the paid sessions.

My own training consists of weight training and very little cardio.  Weight training is a huge passion of mine and I love to educate women who either don’t have the confidence or believe they’ll get huge if they lift weights.  There are so many benefits of weight training and i love hearing my female clients say they can feel their bodies changing shape with very little cardio, which is often something they did not think was possible.
